High density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene high-density (PEHD) is a polyethylene thermoplastic obtained from petroleum. HDPE is commonly recycled, HDPE is the high density version of PE plastic. It is harder, stronger and a little heavier than LDPE, but less ductile.
